Author Q&As
Tell us about your book – what inspired you to write it?
Take Three Girls is co-written by Fiona Wood and Simmone Howell. It’s about three girls – Clem, Ady and Kate – who are thrown together in a Wellness class, the school’s response to cyber-bullying. Throughout the novel, they form an unlikely friendship, and prove themselves to be incredibly strong in the face of toxic online commentary. The idea evolved through discussions of our characters and the current online climate. So the inspiration came from world events, social media, and wanting to write strong female characters. Part of the inspiration came also from wanting to write with two authors I admire.
